Dr. Suman Chakraborty is presently working with Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Indore Campus as Professor and Associate Dean in School of Business and Management. Prior to joining NMIMS Indore Campus, Prof. Chakraborty worked with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal in the Department of Commerce. He worked with reputed universities and academic institutions such as Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore; Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar; ICFAI Business School, Dehradun; KIIT Deemed University, Bhubaneswar; and Globsyn Business School, Kolkata.

Dr. Chakraborty completed Master of Financial Analysis and Control (M.F.C) in 2001, and Master of Commerce (M. Com) in 1997 from Jodhpur University, India. He has completed Ph.D. in finance from Utkal University, India. Dr. Chakraborty has more than 24 years of experience in teaching, training, research and academic administration.

His teaching and research interests are Financial Derivatives, Corporate Valuations, Security analysis, and Portfolio Management. He has also delivered corporate training sessions to middle and lower management personnel in the areas of Investment Banking, Financial Derivatives, and Mutual Funds. Dr. Chakraborty has published research papers in international and national refereed journals and presented research papers in national and international conferences.
